Urban Life and Urban Silence Series

My artistic research has been centred on a profound and unique vision of the theme of contemporary urban reality for some years. The contrast between the bustling daily life and the empty, silent spaces of human existential loneliness. The street, escalator, train stations are all places where the flow of people thickens and then gradually disperses to be replaced by imposing architecture, whose grey cement surfaces extend like solitary pauses of matter.

I integrate my street photography into the worked surfaces with hand applied transfers on a variety of industrial materials including wood, oxidized metal and steel.
